Trampoline Systems named “Cool Vendor” by leading analyst firm
By Trampoline Systems | Thursday, April 10th, 2008
Vendors selected for the “Cool Vendor report” are innovative, impactful and intriguingLondon, 10th April, 2008 – Trampoline Systems is one of five vendors featured in the April 2008 “Cool Vendors in Collaboration and Social Software, 2008” report by Gartner, Inc. and authored by Nikos Drakos, et al.
The report profiles innovative technology companies providing collaboration tools and social software. It focuses on vendors with “innovative approaches to collaboration support” and notes that “although it is too soon to say which will be rewarded with long-term market success, we can expect to see several of these approaches becoming part of successful collaboration support environments”.
“Trampoline is thrilled to be included in this report,” says Charles Armstrong, CEO of Trampoline Systems. “Gartner was ahead of the curve in realising that social software was going to be transformative in the enterprise. Now as we see enterprise social computing emerge as a mainstream technology sector, businesses of all kinds are looking to Gartner to provide insight on the key issues and the marketplace players. Trampoline is delighted to be highlighted in this evaluation.”
SONAR Suite is Trampoline’s enterprise social computing platform for employees and managers. SONAR Dashboard provides social computing for employees to locate experts, connect and collaborate. SONAR Flightdeck and Dashboard are powered by SONAR Server, which identifies the social networks, information flows and topics within electronic information. SONAR Suite provides enterprise-class security, privacy and integration. Metascope is Trampoline’s specialist software for organisational network analysis of large networks.

Trampoline Systems launches Metascope for organisational network analysis of large networks
By Trampoline Systems | Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
Metascope analyses and visualises email or survey data to expand opportunities for ONA/SNA consultantsLondon, UK, 2nd April 2008 – Trampoline Systems, the enterprise social computing software developer, today announces Metascope, a software tool for organisational network analysis (ONA) and social network analysis (SNA) of large networks. Metascope is being used professionally by world-leading management consultants. It analyses and visualises email as well as survey data, extending the scope for comprehensive exploration of networks of tens of thousands of people, and provides intuitive, attractive visualisations for client presentations.
Metascope quickly gives organisational network analysis professionals detailed insight into the largest of networks. In comparison to other tools on the market, it enables practitioners to produce higher quality analysis, reports and presentations for more successful projects. Metascope is very easy to use from data input to final reporting. It offers advanced analytics and the ability to both manipulate and visualise data within the same interface.
Metascope enables ONA professionals to investigate communication networks in action in addition to the reported organisation found in surveys. Email networks are as easy to explore as those represented in surveys. It is compatible with multiple formats of survey data and performs analysis of survey data as a stand-alone desktop application. Email data is ingested through Trampoline’s SONAR Server, which extracts the social networks contained within email datasets.
Charles Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer of Trampoline Systems, says, “Until now, ONA practitioners have not had the software they need to tackle large projects which require a scalable toolset and high quality visualisation. They need to explore networks in the largest organisations and use real communication flows as well as survey data. Metascope provides this. Trampoline is proud to meet the evolving needs of the ONA community.”
A free, demonstration version of Metascope is available to download from Trampoline’s website. It uses an email corpus made available by the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission during its investigation into the downfall of Enron.
